Evolve Human Performance is a coaching practice based in Caringbah, Sutherland Shire, working with runners and triathletes across Australia. I started Evolve in 2017 after years of watching endurance athletes break down chasing volume that their body was not yet built to handle. The approach is simple. Build the engine and the chassis at the same time. Aerobic development matters, but so does the tissue capacity to absorb 40,000 foot strikes across a long run without falling apart.
Most of the runners I coach are not elite and not complete beginners. They are everyday athletes chasing a marathon PB, a first half, a trail ultra, or just the ability to train consistently without the same injury cycle pulling them out every twelve weeks. The work is individualised, evidence-based, and built around the reality of the athlete in front of me. Time-poor parents, shift workers, people who can give five hours a week and want every one of them to count.
The blog exists for the same reason the coaching does. Runners are drowning in generic advice that ignores context, training history, and what actually drives long term progress. I write to give athletes a clearer picture of how the body adapts, why volume alone is not the answer, and what the strength and conditioning side of endurance sport actually looks like when it is done properly. Direct, honest, no fluff. If it helps one runner avoid a stress fracture or finally crack a goal that has been sitting there for years, it has done its job.
