Patawalonga Lake, affectionately known as “The Pat” by locals, is a scenic 1.6km man-made lake situated near Glenelg. This popular 3.7km loop offers a pleasant running experience alongside the lake.

Description:
The loop, typically tackled clockwise, starts in Glenelg just north of Glenelg Beach. Utilize the retractable walkway across the barrage near Wigley Reserve to cross the lake. Once across, follow the designated path along the lake’s edge. The loop concludes by crossing back via the pedestrian bridge near the skate park.
Note:
Be aware that Patawalonga Lake may emit unpleasant odors due to stormwater runoff.

Extend your run by venturing north or south on the Adelaide Coast Park Trail.
Head north along the lake to Tapleys Hill Road to connect with the Adelaide Airport Trail Network.
