The Australian Cross Country Championships in 2025, 2026 and 2027 will take place in Ballarat.

The event will be conducted over two days and will feature runners vying for schools, open, university and masters titles.

The celebration of running will see athletes in age groups Under 11 through to Masters compete together on the fast and technical course at Victoria Park, allowing for the entire Australian athletics community to embrace Ballarat’s rich history in distance running over three years.

The event is conducted by Athletics Australia and is the only official national championship for cross country, with $20,000 in prize money available in the open category.
