The Albert parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km run and walk held at Albert Park in Melbourne each Saturday at 8am.
The Albert parkrun has been conducted since 19 November 2011, making it one of the oldest parkrun events in Australia.
To participate in parkrun for the first time register via the parkrun website.
You will be provided with a barcode that you print and bring with you to the event. This barcode is unique to you and can be used at other parkruns in the future.
Please check the event website for information about event cancellations or events held on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

Average finishing time: 28:54 (5:47/km).
There’s no finishing time limit and you will never be the last to finish, as a volunteer will always cover the course slowest.

Course Description
Runners meet at 7.50am every Saturday for the pre-run briefing at the Coot Picnic Area, Albert Park, in the BBQ shed directly across the road from the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).
The start is 300m from the pre-run briefing, at the Palms Lawn. The course follows the iconic Albert Park Lake path anticlockwise, finishing back at the Coot Picnic Area. The boat shed at the southern end of the lake is halfway.
There are public toilets at the Coot Picnic Area and at the 4.5km mark. Water fountains are positioned about every kilometre around the course as well as at the Coot Picnic Area.

Always a great vibe at this parkrun. Big crowds but a fast and flat run.
