The Kate Reed parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km event that is open to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience.
Situated on the southern outskirts of Launceston, within one of Tasmania’s most stunning nature reserves, Kate Reed parkrun features a gently undulating and scenic course that begins and ends at the Kate Reed Fire Trail head.
The event was first held on 31 October 2020.

- It is a timed event over 5km, but there is no pressure to finish quickly

Course Description
The course is at Kate Reed Recreation Area, Prospect and is run entirely on trail paths. It is both scenic and hilly – with over 100 metres of climbing over the loop, offering a rewarding running experience.

A wonderful and somewhat unique course that’s a narrow single track mountain bike trail for a good part. Can be muddy if it’s been wet but that adds to the fun!
