The Rockhampton parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km event that is open to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience.
This is an attractive course with a range of gradient and surface types. It is set within the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and takes full advantage of the parkland and adjoining lagoon scenery.
Here is some key information about parkrun:
- It is held every Saturday morning
- It is a timed event over 5km, but there is no pressure to finish quickly
- Participants can run, jog or walk the course
- It is free to participate, but registration is required
- It is organised by volunteers
- It is a great way to exercise, meet new people, and explore your local area (or other areas!)
Course Description
The course is at Botanic Gardens, West Rockhampton and is run on a mixture of sealed and paved paths, grass and gravel paths.
