There’s 46 different parkrun locations within metropolitan Melbourne, providing easy access to complete a 5km run each Saturday morning as well as ample variety for those who wish to travel.
The first parkrun in Melbourne was Albert parkrun (established in November 2011) with Woodlands Historic Park parkrun and Maroondah Dam parkrun the most recently established, on the same weekend in May last year.
The majority of Melbourne’s parkrun have average attendance between 70 and 170 runners each week, but there’s some that are consistently larger and smaller.
